Membership and Qualifications of the Faculty

Membership of the Faculty is restricted to medical practitioners with university postgraduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Medicine and those with Fellowship of relevant learned Colleges and appropriate interests. Membership is conditional upon members undertaking to continue actively pursuing the Faculty's objectives.

The Faculty has attracted to its membership practitioners with expert knowledge, skills and clinical experience from academic practice and research, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Rheumatology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Anaesthesia and Pain Management, Radiology, and Surgery. Each particular specialty contributed its knowledge and perspectives to generation of the Syllabus of the Faculty and to its teaching and training programs.

Notwithstanding their original disciplines, members have progressively undertaken the examinations for Fellowship of the Faculty, by which they have demonstrated mastery of the composite and focussed knowledge base generated and provided by the other specialties of members.

Fellowship is accorded to those who:

  • have demonstrated expertise and competence in Musculoskeletal Medicine by way of postgraduate qualifications, experience and clinical practice; and
  • have passed the examination for Fellowship conducted by the Faculty;

Continuing Fellowship and is conditional upon commitment to, and acquittal of, the Maintenance of Professional Standards program of the Faculty.

Please download and fill in the Membership Application Form and submit with a detailed CV and passport sized photo to the Honorary Secretary.
