Diagnostic tests

After the examination of the affected region, your specialist may refer you for more investigative tests such as blood or urine tests, x-rays, ultrasound scans, or more advanced imaging using MRI, CT scan, or bone scintigraphy. Some MPM specialists have advanced training in the diagnosis of spinal joint pain by local anaesthetic injection blocks under image guidance and could offer you this for further investigation of your spinal pain.
